Speaker: Corey Fountain Corey Fountain has spent six seasons as the head coach of the Red Devil football program and current 2024 state Champion! In his six complete seasons at the helm of the Clinton program. He boast a state championship, 3 region championships, and one region runner-up finish. He came to Clinton from Lamar High School, where he was the head football coach for five seasons from 2014 to 2018. He came to Clinton having gone 58-10 at Lamar, and earned the 100th win of his head coaching career on August 20, 2024, when Clinton defeated Laurens at Wilder St.adium. While at Lamar, he led the Silver Foxes to four consecu­tive Upper State Championships and won two SCHSL Class A State Championships in the process. He received recognition as Region Coach of the Year, SCHSRR Regional Coach of the Year, Class A Upper St.ate Coach of the Year, and South Carolina Coach of the Year. Prior to being the head coach, he served two years as an assis­tant at Lamar, He had earlier stints with Laurens District 55 High School and Hillcrest High School. Fountain is already contending for his place in CHS record books: among all Clinton head coaches, he boasts the third-most wins, second-best winning percentage (among all coaches with at least 3 seasons in charge), and is the sixth-longest-tenured. Fountain is a graduate of Lamar High School. He earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from North Greenville University and a master's degree in educational leadership, admin­istration, and supervision from Grand Canyon University. Coach Fountain is married to wife Lauren, and has three children, Lilliana, Savanna, and Brady.
