Individuals who make the commitment to help others are essential links in bringing our communities closer together. The Duke Energy Citizenship and Service Award pays tribute to individuals who use their time, talent and compassion to positively affect the lives of others in their communities or in the workplace. Recipients of the award help foster a culture of citizenship and service that acts as a catalyst for others to become involved in civic and social activities.

Purpose of the award 

Recognize a commitment to service and/or civic participation over a sustained period.

Recognize activities that set a standard and foster a culture for citizenship, service and community responsibility.

Encourages a culture of citizenship and service in our communities.

Compliments the efforts of individuals and organizations in our community striving to improve our quality of life.

Criteria and presentation 

A Citizenship and Service Award will be presented each calendar year.

The award will recognize individuals, teams and/or workgroups within an organization.

Winner will receive two complimentary tickets to the Annual Meeting.

Winner must be available to attend the Annual Meeting on February 9, 2023.

By submitting this form, nominator ensures that all information is accurate to the best of his/her ability.

Nominees from previous years are eligible for consideration, but must be re-nominated.

Duke Energy will supply the award, appropriate sponsorship and will participate in the award presentation.
